Lazy Sunday Morning

Don’t you just love a lazy Sunday morning? 😀

With no workouts scheduled and no plans ’till lunch time, Mike and I had the chance to plop around our apartment this morning.  We flipped the TV on to the Olympic’s and watched the last 7 miles of the women’s marathon!  Ahhhh still so happy that I woke up to this!!

Breakfast

With the TV on in the background, I prepared the coffee maker.  It’s taken us a while but we finally have our coffee-making down to a science:  half Dunkin’s Turbo (for the extra boost) and half Dunkin’s flavored coffee.  I then add almond milk or coconut milk to my mug.  Perfect!

For breakfast, we enjoyed scrambled eggs with broccoli, bacon, and toast.  We were out of american cheese so instead I used a couple wedges of “The Laughing Cow’s, Light Mozzarella, Sun-Dried Tomato & Basil” cheese.   I thought it might be a weird combination but it actually turned out fantastic!  It made the eggs much creamier and flavorful!

Workouts for this week (based off my half marathon training plan)

  • Monday: Rest day
  • Tuesday: Cross train (elliptical plus a full body circuit workout)
  • Wednesday: Run + speed 50 minutes (maybe a track workout?)
  • Thursday: Cross train (workout is TBD)
  • Friday: Run 40 minutes
  • Saturday: Run 9 miles!
  • Sunday: Rest day
