Celebrity Tips & Tricks!

This morning started off with a delicious green tea w/ wild blueberries and acai.  Not as tasty as my home-made coffee but green tea is really starting to grow on me.

And thanks to the juice cleanse, I was ready for work in not time at all.   My breakfast, lunch, and snacks were placed in my cooler with an icepack and ready to go!

Btw have you read the new OK! magazine featuring “100 Celebrity Diet Tips”?  Soooo many good tips and secrets!  I never know if the tips are actually from the celebrities but either way I learned a lot from this issue.  There was also a section on Power Cleanses and which celebs do them and everything.  The Cooler Cleanse is the one I want to try next time which I didn’t know was co-founded by Salma Hayek!

Along with the tips, there was also an article on adding certain foods to your diet to get gorgeous skin inside and out.

The Ultimate Beauty Foods

For a Youthful Body:

Miranda Kerr drinks beet juice daily.  Beets have anti-inflammatory properties which help to reduce bloating and puffiness and may aid in eliminating belly fat.

Gweneth Paltrow, Madonna, and Hilary Swank all love flax-seed.  Flax is high in fiber, omega-3 fatty acids and linoleic acid, which prevents hair loss and promotes healthy growth.

For a Healthy Smile:

Alison Sweeney eats apples since they clean your teeth and help remove stains.

Shannon Elizabeth admits to being a sweet potato fan.  Orange veggies like sweet potatoes, carrots, pumpkin, and squash  are high in vitamin A and create brighter, healthy smiles.

For Strong Nails:

Vanessa Hudgens eats a raw spinach salad for lunch.  Spinach, along with other green leafy veggies like kale and collard greens, helps nails grow stronger.

Heidi Klum, Jillian Michaels, Kelly Ripa and Jennie Garth, eat yogurt daily.  The calcium in yogurt aids nail growth while Biotin, a B vitamin, prevents brittleness.

For Radiant Skin:

Beyonce favorite veggie, the tomato, can help skin look younger because it contains a powerful antioxidant called lycopene, which protects against sunburn and the aging effects of UV rays.

Lady Gaga said that drinking green tea helped her quit smoking but it is also is effective in treating acne.
